My friend, Julie, called and asked me to create a couple of patterns for her 4-H group down in Texas. How could I say “no”?! She knows that I would never do that, so we talked for a bit and this is the pattern that developed. This simple-to-crochet pattern uses the beautiful Red Heart Team yarns. There are so many color choices, and it makes crocheting so easy for beginners — you never have to change colors, yet you still get the color changes in the finished project. Or, if you wish, you may also use any worsted weight yarn you choose. The pattern is free to download, just send me an email to let me know how many copies you make to share with your 4-H group.
This Crochet Team Wreath pattern is written for beginners that know two basic stitches: chain stitch and single crochet. It has many photos to walk you through crocheting the wreath. It does not teach you the stitch; your group will still need someone comfortable with crocheting who can give on-the-spot help. I think your group will be pleased with the results of the wreaths they make.
The Crochet Team Wreath also makes a beautiful gift for any sports fan, high school or college student. Perfect for all the ticket stubs and ephemera that we collect.
