Hogan’s Handwork an Etsy shop is filled with awesome hand crocheted items. The shop is run by two sisters, Denise and Erica. Erica shoots all the photos of the lovely hand crocheted items that Denise creates. This Etsy shop has been open since October of last year. Denise’s love of crochet is evident in her attention to detail and the quality of her work. In her own words she says
“I love to crochet. And I love to make handmade, quality products that people can enjoy for years! No more second-rate, mass-produced accessories for me! Rest-assured that I will do my utmost to please you.”
Denise is saving money for college right now and will heading off there soon so many of her items are 50% off and that makes them an incredible deal.
Take a look at her wonderful hand crocheted items.

p.s. the seam tape or the rubber stamps look like my kind of shopping, bargain and crafty! lol
I will be posting beads later today!
A little food for thought, or knits for your needles or …well just take a look. These are huge!

Talk to you later,

These are from this museum in Antwerp. Some of the photos aren’t what I would call kid friendly, so be warned.
I am just wondering amongst all the creative people that I know; how do you use your gifts and talents and passion for God. I mean if you are passionate about knitting how do you use that to help others. I have been struggling with this thought for awhile now and I need some input from readers. If your passion is painting art (as opposed to painting houses) how do you use that for God. What about sewing? If your passion is sewing or paper crafting how do you use that talent for God?
Just wondering…I am needing some input folks. Comment back to me, please!
Thanks,
Karen
I love this article about sewing tools to make your sewing look more professional.

It is by Burda Patterns and really gets the list down to brass tacks. I need a few of these tools and didn’t even know it.
Here is the article link it is written by Meg MacDonald for Burda patterns.

On another note I saw this and thought it was a really cute idea. Thinking about makes me wonder if it is
something I could do with sewing projects! Hmmm, I think that my family might object though since the
house is already over run with sewing, knitting, projects, pattern books, fabric scraps etc… you name it.

Please take a look at their site and participate or donate to their organization.

Children in a hospital for any reason for serious illness breaks my heart. If you are a crafter or seller of handmade items, how does your craft help other people? Are you using your talents and gifts from God to help others? Here is my challenge: Find some way in which your talent or gifts helps others as a gift. Let me know what you find out or what you do. There are so many ways that handcrafts are helping people. From scarves for the homeless to quilts for kids to so many things. Comment back and let me know what you do!
