Natural light vs Indoor light

I try really hard to take most of my photos with natural light. I wait for a bright day and take the photos with the sun shining. Here is a really good photo illustration why I do this.

This is the same blanket one photo taken in indoor lighting and the second photo taken in natural light.

There is a huge difference. Sometimes you can successfully edit photos and get a more natural appearance. I am truthfully not that good with photo editing software. I use Picasa, an old program that was free. It is pretty easy for me to use.  These photos are cropped but not color edited in any way.

Talk to you later,

Karen

2013 in Review

Looking back at 2013 so many things were accomplished and marked off my list. I feel so incredibly productive. I keep a running list on my computer of what has been completed and what is left to finish. The list is enormous, but here are some photos of the year.

These are some of the blankets that I crocheted this year. Some are not in the collage and the other items from the shop are not shown at all.

We drove to our daughter’s college in Texas and back – 5 times. We had one trip to Kansas, and one trip to Houston, Tx, and one trip to the Waco, Tx area.

We had one wedding, one wedding shower, one major surgery, 3 months in a boot or cast, one set of wisdom teeth removed, and all the love and laughter that comes from living in a family of six.

It has been a spectacular year and I have loved almost every moment of it. There were some hard times but there are always some hard times in every year.

Thanks for sharing it with me,

Karen

Just for fun!

One day a week a homeschool friend and I trade kids. She teaches mine Algebra 2 and Pre algebra and I get to play in the art supplies with hers.  I know that I have the better end of the deal! Here is what we finished up this week. This is mine in the middle of the work. Yes, it is an artwork off of Pinterest.

Working with her boys is lots of fun. We cleaned the table off with Shaving cream and they loved that. We will water color next week.

See you later,

Karen
