The Basketweave Washcloth/Dishcloth Pattern
The Basketweave Washcloth/dishcloth pattern uses both the back post and the front post double crochet stitch. It makes a delightfully nubby washcloth or dishcloth. This wash cloth pattern is perfect for practicing with these stitches as it is small enough to finish in one day. Need a quick gift for a friend? Whip up this square, along with the other three squares in the series and place them in a nice basket. Add some specialty soaps or spa accessories to create a great handmade gift.
Please note: This square appears to shrink as you crochet it since the texture is thicker and tighter than the other squares. Bear this in mind if you crochet an afghan out of the basket weave stitch.
